Pinnacle Mobility Solutions, a subsidiary of Pune-based Pinnacle Industries, has invested Rs 2,000 crore to develop electric buses and e-mini trucks to add to the last-mile mobility space. The company will set up a 5,000,000 electric bus plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and a 15,000,000 e-mini car plant in the 1-2 ton space in Pune. The company will provide employment to around 1,000 people at both these locations. It will produce 9-12 meter electric buses and 1-2 tonne mini trucks in the next two years. Sudhir Mehta, director, Pinnacle Mobility Solutions, told ET that electric vehicles will be one of the biggest industries in India in terms of size. Pinnacle started working on the search engine with a unique concept of Lego that can be assembled with small pieces without the need for large investments.

Mehta said the entire product has been developed in India and several patents have already been obtained and are under development. Pinnacle intends to use the expertise of the joint venture to build a smart factory and expand to more small businesses in the country. Mehta says they built a car platform based on the Lego concept to offer a better cost of ownership. He said, “Our aim is to contribute to democracy in the country.
